Water stewardship convening in New Delhi, India.
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), the Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) and the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) are three organizations at the forefront of efforts to help the Indian business community to manage water risks and create opportunities for long-term, sustainable growth. In pursuit of a coordinated approach to managing water risks, TERI, CRB and AWS are co-convening a half-day meeting on Wednesday 18th December at TERI’s offices, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
This meeting builds off the extensive experience of the convening organizations and is aimed at aligning and coordinating efforts to enable Indian business to manage their water-related risks. Specifically, this meeting presents an ideal opportunity to
- Improve understanding of the Indian water stewardship “landscape” and how AWS can be most effectively applied, building off and reinforcing efforts such as those of TERI and CRB
- Gather feedback from Indian stakeholders ahead of the revision of the AWS Standard in early 2014
- Identify projects in which the AWS Standard can be pilot tested in India
